BBB of Central and Northern Alberta has heard from businesses that received phone calls saying “I’m calling from BBB. Can you give me the map coordinates, for your business?”
BBB doesn’t make calls of this nature and suggests that business’s receiving these calls:
- Provide no information to the caller
- Try to get a name, of the caller, or a phone number from a call display
- Report the information to BBB of Central and Northern Alberta
- Report the information to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre (formerly known as PhoneBusters)
